Italian Stallion

Now that those eye watering figures have grabbed your attention, this Italian Stallion is the latest in a series of high performance and much sought after cars to enter the all-new Magic Detail workshop. After 4 days in what has been dubbed ‘ICU’ (the Intensive Car Unit) the car has been transformed, and totally protected inside and out.

Our brief on this one is becoming one of our most popular treatments; full front end PPF coverage, with ceramic coatings protecting the rest of the car. In this instance, it was Italian coatings, for an Italian car, given we use #Labocosmetica products.

As a PremiumShield Approved installation centre, we opted to use their Elite Gen II film to protect the vulnerable areas around the front of the car - including the bonnet, which is approximately 3 miles long! Not many film manufacturers make a film on a wide enough roll to allow the bonnet to be covered in a single piece of film, often using 3 pieces for full bonnet coverage. Generally a 60” wide roll is commonly used by most. We have no such problems with our film, with a 72” wide option available, which allowed us to cover it in one piece, for a much cleaner install and no join lines.

Once the paint protection film had been installed, we were tasked with applying a ceramic coating to the rest of the car. The owner wanted protection which was hard enough to protect against minor scratches and swirls, whilst being durable. As we’re authorised to use all of the available Labocosmetica coatings, we opted for the brand new Blindo+, a 9H clear resin base layer, and topped it with their HPC (Hybrid Polymer Coating) to boost durability and provide an extreme hydrophobic effect for ease of cleaning. This combination also gives a ‘mirror like’ gloss, ideal on silver car.

Total surface protection, and one delighted owner.

Check back over the coming weeks to see us work more specialised cars, including a brand new Porsche 992 GT3, several Yaris GR’s, and a very rare Porsche 997 GT3RS 4.0ltr.
